WATCH: Celebrating the 250th St Leger

The most iconic and oldest Classic horse race in the world, the St Leger, turns 250 this year. Doncaster Racecourse has a pedigree in horse racing, and I was delighted to shout out the St Leger during a debate in Parliament this week.

For constituencies like mine, horseracing is not just a sport. It is about protecting jobs, supporting local businesses, preserving an important part of our national heritage and ensuring that racecourses such as Doncaster can continue to thrive for generations to come.
