Pride in Place Money for Hexthorpe Boxing Club!

I'm delighted to say that as part of the Labour Government's Pride in Place Impact Fund, myself, Mayor Ros Jones and Councillor Glyn Jones, Hexthorpe and Balby North Ward have been able to provide Doncaster Plantworks Amateur Boxing Club with the money to invest into their community boxing facility and adjoining youth hub.

Pride in Place funding is making a real, tangible difference in our communities, and I’m delighted to see investment going into the Hexthorpe Plant Works Amateur Boxing Club. I'm so pleased that Paul and the team at the club will be able to support many more of Doncaster's young boxers for years to come.

These renovations will not only improve the facilities but help create a safe, welcoming space where young people can build confidence, discipline and a sense of belonging. Projects like this are about more than bricks and mortar - they’re about strengthening community spirit and giving the next generation of athletes and boxers the opportunities they deserve.
