Brownies and Girl Guide presentation

Lee Pitcher MP and I were honoured to present ‘history’ and ‘genealogy’ badges yesterday at the Danum Gallery, Library and Museum to brownies and girl guides from across our region. With over 260 in attendance, the atmosphere was Great! and full of energy.

With special thanks to Sherelle Hawes from the history group for her leadership in making the event happen and to all the volunteers who supported.

To earn the badge(s) our young adults and future leaders met a host of heritage, history and related organisations to learn about our local area, with some finding out how to produce a family tree through tracing their past.
