Celebrating Black History Month with BME United Doncaster

I attended a brilliant event yesterday along with Mayor Ros Jones, Deputy Mayor Glyn Jones and representatives from Doncaster Council to celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth2025 with BME United Doncaster and community organisations, hosted by Rev Dolly Agoro.

The event included cultural performances, powerful talks and an opportunity to speak to different community groups. This year’s theme is standing firm in power and pride and was showcased throughout the evening with organisations from across our city.
