Armthorpe Miners’ Memorial Service

Yesterday I attended the Armthorpe Miners’ Memorial service and laid a wreath to remember those who never returned home from their shift at Markham Main Colliery. Their names and their stories remain woven into the history of Armthorpe and the wider mining community.

Thank you to Armthorpe Parish Council and Community Centre for organising the service and for all who attended to pay their respects including local councillors and community groups.
