Tackling Knife Crime
Knife crime has devastating impacts on lives, families and communities, which is why we must do everything we can to prevent dangerous weapons from ending up on Doncaster’s streets.
Since becoming an MP, I have spoken with Lisa Theobald, whose son Ryan was stabbed and tragically killed in Doncaster city centre in 2022, regarding her campaign to educate young people on the impacts knife crime has on families.
Recently I joined Lisa, along with Councillor Gemma Cobby - Town Ward, South Yorkshire Police and our Police and Crime Commissioner Kilvinder Vigurs at Doncaster Fire Station to see their newly funded knife surrender bin to encourage people to dispose of bladed weapons safely.
