Dementia Action Week

On 23rd May I opened the Dementia Action Week event hosted by Home Instead, with local community groups and charities from across Doncaster including Age UK Doncaster RDaSH NHS Alzheimer's Society and many more to raise awareness about Dementia, the support available and the ongoing research.

It was moving to hear from both people with dementia and their families about the struggles they have faced and what we can do to improve services available but also to become more dementia friendly as a society.
