Bereavement leave meeting with the Department of Work and Pensions and Business and Trade

This week I met with Ministers from both the Department of Work and Pensions and the Department for Business and Trade to raise the need for improved bereavement leave for parents who go through the unimaginable trauma of losing a child.

My constituents Nathan and Fiona raised this with me over a year ago now and we recently met with SUDC UK to discuss how government can better support parents after such tragic loss.

I will continue to raise this matter with Ministers whilst their review is ongoing this year.
