Second UTC Confirmed for Doncaster!

I am delighted that the Labour government has given the go ahead for Doncaster’s second UTC with specialisms in Health and Green Technologies, two sectors closely aligned with our region’s priorities and areas of rapid growth.

I’ve seen the impact that Doncaster UTC has had in shaping the education and employment opportunities of young people and I have championed the bid for the second UTC since I became an MP.

This major development marks a significant milestone for the city and its young people, strengthening the region’s commitment to innovation, skills, and economic growth. Thank you to Doncaster Council, Doncaster UTC, fellow Doncaster MPs Lee Pitcher, Ed Miliband, John Healey and all those who were involved in the successful bid to make this happen for our city.
